The OALA honours 13 Canadians with volunteer leadership awards
The Ontario Association of Landscape Architects (OALA) is honouring 13 Canadians who have demonstrated acts of leadership on behalf of their profession.
The Provincial Volunteer and Leadership Awards are given annually, and this year?s ceremony was scheduled to be held in London in May. Recipients will be featured in the summer issue of Ground: Landscape Architect Quarterly Magazine.
Awards were given to two London, Ontario based community organizations recognized for their work on the protection of the environment, OALA members for their volunteer work on the environment and their dedication to the profession, a landscape architect from B.C, and two Ontario based members of OALA’s national counterpart (Canadian Society of Landscape Architects) for design awards. The recipients include:

Ian McAskile from Woodstock, Ontario is owner and president of Maglin Site Furniture Inc. He has over three decades of experience addressing the needs of landscape architects for quality site furnishings.
