The stadium, which has a spiralling form intended to evoke waves, is being developed to meet the requirements for the 2034 FIFA World Cup in Saudi Arabia and will be located in Al Khobar.
Malaysia will no longer prioritise skyscrapers, prime minister says
Malaysia's prime minister Anwar Ibrahim has said the country, which has numerous well-known skyscrapers, will no longer be prioritising them.
"I have emphasised the need to focus on projects that serve and respect the people," Ibrahim said. "There are already many skyscrapers, if the private sector wants to build them please do. But, the government does not make this a priority anymore."
