New Spurs Stadium Building Opening News
A new timetable for the opening of this new 62,000 seat ground is to be issued by next week at the earliest.
Issues with critical safety systems – notably electrical wiring faults – had been identified by contractor Mace.

The stadium?s cable net roof is due to be essentially complete at the end of August. The 17,000-seat South stand is now in place.
Mace took control of the historic White Hart Lane ground in May 2017, under a Construction Management contract. The new football ground will become the largest club venue in London, with Aresenal’s Emirates Stadium

having a capacity of 60,260. The English national football ground, Wembley Stadium, can seat 90,000.
The new Spurs stadium building was due to open for their inaugural Premier League home game against Liverpool on 15 September.
