Viriato creates sustainable furnishings for hospitality interiors
Promotion: Portuguese company Viriato has set out its commitment to support sustainable materials and energy-efficient production methods for furniture used in hotels and other hospitality settings.
The company, which was established in 1952, specialises in fixtures, fittings and equipment for hotels.
The role of the furniture industry in the decline of environmental health has become apparent in recent years, and Viriato said it is adopting sustainably-focused practices in order to avoid contributing to this decline.

Wood is the primary material used in the production of the company's furniture, selected for its natural, renewable, biodegradable, reusable and recyclable properties.
It sources its wood from closely managed, sustainable forests, with 89 per cent of it purchased in Portugal. The brand produces the pieces with sustainability in mind
Viriato operates a circular production cycle, which is facilitated in part by advancements in sustainably-sound manufacturing techniques.
