Zaha Hadid's lesser-known works commemorated in Masterpiece London exhibition
An exhibition opens this week in London showcasing paintings, sketches and jewellery designs by Zaha Hadid, selected by a gallerist who had a long-standing friendship with the late architect (+ slideshow).

The Masterpiece London art fair's Zaha Hadid Commemorative Salon is curated by the CEO of David Gill Gallery, Francis Sultana, who commissioned a number of furniture designs from the architect before her death.
Pieces from Hadid's Liquid Glacial furniture collection that resemble formations of ice are included in the exhibition, alongside abstract paintings, and cuffs and rings designed for Danish brand Georg Jensen. The architect's chrome-plated United Nude Nova shoes, which feature 16.5-centimetre cantilevered heels, are on display, alongside drawings from Hadid's sketchbook.

The exhibition also brings together personal objects and fashion pieces owned by Hadid, including her studio's reinterpretation of the Louis Vuitton bucket bag and a set of drafting tools.
