New London Architecture (NLA) has named Britannia Leisure Centre by FaulknerBrowns Architects as the overall winner of the New London Awards 2022, in addition to their award in the Culture category.
Organised by NLA and supported by the Mayor of London, the New London Awards celebrate all scale of projects, from community-led to large-scale mixed-use developments, both built and unbuilt, that contribute to the creation of a more sustainable, civilised, and egalitarian London. Awards were presented across 14 categories and special prizes at NLA?s Annual Lunch at the Guildhall on Tuesday 29th November 2022.
With newfound appreciation for places that bring communities together following the pandemic, the judges felt this practical and elegant redevelopment project was a deserved winner, demonstrating excellent use of public funds to benefit a community.
