Superblue Miami to open with mirrored Es Devlin installation
Dezeen promotion: Superblue, a new cultural venue for Miami, opens later this month in a former industrial building with a programme that includes work by British designer Es Devlin.
Located in the city's Allapattah neighbourhood, opposite the recently opened Rubell Museum, Superblue Miami occupies a renovated 50,000-square-foot (4,650-square-metre) building.

The building was transformed by Kobi Karp Architecture and Interior Design to create an arts space that will host a year-round schedule of talks, performances, workshops, and family programmes, as well as event rentals.
Approximately 31,000 square feet (2,880 square metres) of flexible installation space can be custom-built and adapted to the specificities of experiential art installations, while 6,000 square feet (560 square metres) is dedicated to flexible event space. Superblue Miami's inaugural program includes a new project by Devlin ? known for her stage sets and large-scale artworks for major artists and events ? who has created an immersive environment using mirrored surfaces and lighting.
After watching a film, visitors can weave their way through the maze-like installation, titled Forest of Us.
