The surrounding woods and farmer?s fields inspired this family home set in a quiet country acreage north of Toronto. The clients, a professional couple with young children, wanted interiors to project a casual fashion forward aesthetic; modernity with hints of playfulness and rusticity. Various hues of greens, yellows, and soft blues reflect the wild flowers, trees and grasses of the summer landscape, while injecting a youthful, family friendly vibe. Lovers of entertaining, the lower level is multi-purpose with dining for as many as thirty, complete with catering kitchen, a ?rat-pack? inspired bar decked-out in flag stone feature walls, and a laid-back ?swank? social lounge.
