Le ville de Montreal reveals Espace Riverie design winner
Le ville de Montreal has announced the winners of the Espace Riverie design competition. The multidisciplinary architecture competition asked participants to design a project to house a library and maison de la culture, along with community and recreational spaces and an Accès Montréal office in a de-partitioned building.
Affleck de la Riva, Coarchitecture, LGT inc. and François Courville?s Espace Rivière: Colline anthropique project was recognized as the winning design.

The competition jury underscores in its report that the winning team proposed a landmark building featuring a physicality and an architectural form that are unique in the city but blend in with the surroundings. It makes its mark in its urban setting while addressing the human scale by way of a large, colourful and lively square.
