Lemay designing two-tower ‘Maestria’ complex at Quartier des spectacles
Devimco Immobilier, the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ and Fiera Properties are proud to announce a partnership to develop the largest mixed-use real estate project yet in Montréal’s Quartier des spectacles. Maestria, with a projected cost of $700 million, will be the highest-profile developments of this type in Montréal. Designed by Lemay, the project aims to take design cues from the arts- and culture-inflected ambiance of the Quartier des spectacles.
Comprising two towers, 51 and 53 storeys high, this flagship project will have access points on Jeanne-Mance, De Bleury and Sainte-Catherine streets. Marketing of the approximately 1,000 condo properties and 500 rental units will begin in February 2019, and construction is due to start by the end of 2019. According to the Lemay website, “[t]he Maestria towers are inspired by the festivals, and in keeping with the spirit of Montreal?s upbeat pulse. The Tower?s silhouette and colour scheme alternately evoke the keys of a piano or two dancers embracing. Public spaces at ground level and connecting with the subway conjure the vibrant rhythms of the Place des Festivals, catering to strollers and festival goers.”
