On April 5th, 2019, The Ordre des architects of Quebec (OAQ) revealed the winners of the 30th Awards of Excellence in Architecture at the Society of Art Technologies in Montreal.
Dutch architect Robert-Jan Van Santen was the chair of the jury that selected the winners out of 104 candidates.  The gala?s highest honour, the ?Grand Prix of Excellence? was awarded to the Bibliothèque de Drummondville, by Chevalier Morales architects and DMA architects.
The event was also open to the public to vote online for the “Public’s Prize”, which was awarded to Strøm Spa Vieux-Québec, a project by LEMAYMICHAUD Architecture Design. The Awards of Excellence in Architecture are designed to recognize and showcase the exemplary architectural achievements of local and global architects. From residential homes to sustainable developments, here are the 2019 Excellence in Architect winners:
