Heritage Toronto and the Toronto Society of Architects (TSA) have launched a new season of tours that will explore the city?s heritage and landscapes.
This year, Heritage Toronto‘s program will run until October and will offer 23 tours, with events taking place from the Scarborough Bluffs to Hogg?s Hollow to Chinatown.
The TSA?s walking tours will also celebrate Toronto?s built environment through researched tours and have been designed to include a mix of landmarks and hidden gems that highlight the city?s history. Tours will be available every weekend throughout the summer and early fall with a total of nine unique themes to choose from.
“Join us for fun and informative walks as we share some of the many captivating stories behind Toronto?s buildings and landscapes through our TSA walking tours,” reads the TSA’s website. “From well-known landmarks to hidden treasures, our volunteer TSA tour guides will share tales that will help you uncover the untold stories of our city?s built environment. Tours are available every weekend in the summer and early fall with nine unique themes to choose from.”
The upcoming tours by Heritage Toronto and the TSA each last about 90 minutes. While there is a small fee for the tours, donations are also encouraged to help fund future walks.
