Fifth Studio | T3arc
Designed by T3arc, The fifth Studio is a low budget building to house a workshop for different artists and different disciplines in Cuernavaca City. It is made up of five spaces whose purpose is to be integrated into the context and the landscape so that each one can enjoy the climate and the views of the region.

The coffee shop, of 90 sqm; the main gallery of 140 sqm, seven meters of height so that the artists work altogether and where exhibitions and concerts will carry out; an area of individual ateliers of 90 sqm; an intermediate esplanade of 150m2, to carry out open exhibitions and to be the league between the coffee shop and the ateliers; and a terrace taking advantage of the cover of the gallery like a green ceiling to work outdoor disciplines. We worked with the levels of the land so that each one of the spaces had a direct view to the north; to the Mountain range of the Ajusco and the Tepozteco. We tried to use only recycled materials from industrial waste and the proper excavation rocks.
The main gallery connects to all the ateliers in a second level, allowing the artist to share their work in a direct way. Both the ateliers and the gallery have windows open to the light from the north, while some of the views are controlled to the east, where we can see the Popocatepetl volcano.
