Delightful new daycare center building with curved corners, lush roof gardens and a special brick facade that gives the building a warm modern feel.
Approached from the south, the cladding works with the context of warm brick:

Retention of the large mature deciduous tree is crucial to this lovely building design:

The orange colour gives the architecture a vibrant feel, the nursery school becomes a beacon in this area:
A simple vertical fin cladding provides so much interest and energy to the facade, especially on the corners and also in sunshine (we revisited on a cloudy day and obviously the effect was less striking):

Detail of the corner on the north west side of the building, sweeping curves create delight.

Relationship of building to street, hard in places, stepping back in others:

Building and fence combine to form an integral enclosure, protecting the play area:

Nature in the city needs protection and celebration, the architects follow this positive approach:
