RAIC introduces new federated chapter model in British Columbia
As the New Year begins, the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) is excited to initiate the updated federated chapter model for the organization. British Columbia is the first province to implement the chapter framework which will transition existing networks into an RAIC BC Chapter Network Committee, a volunteer leadership team for the entire province. The chapter will continue to build on the success of existing networks (e.g. Metro Vancouver) and create the opportunity to revitalize or support new networks in cities across the province.
The mandate of the new RAIC chapters will be aligned with that of the overall organization; to serve the advocacy, educational and networking needs of its members working towards the mission of promoting excellence in the built environment and to promote responsible architecture. If you are interested in volunteering on the BC Chapter Network Committee or starting a local network in your region, contact Giovanna Boniface ([email protected]) for more information by January 18, 2019. The Committee will hold the first meeting on January 31, 2019.
Stay tuned for news of the launch of the RAIC Alberta federated chapter ? coming in April 2019.
