Car brand Rolls-Royce has treated one of its luxury convertibles to new detailing inspired by haute couture.
Styling itself the House of Rolls-Royce, the company made over its Dawn four-seater convertible in the Inspired by Fashion collection. The car now comes in one of three finishes distinguished by their colourful, soft-top roofs.

An all-white body is contrasted by a bright red, blue or orange roof, while white and black interiors feature coloured stitching.
The collection is based on what the company describes as a "common philosophy" when it comes to luxury goods and materials.

"Our clients are the very arbiters of fashion, tastemakers who sit in the front row of the couture shows, themselves influencing evolving trends," said the company's director of design Giles Taylor. Rolls-Royce borrowed tailoring techniques like seamless stitching to wrap its steering wheels in leather. It added decorative piping to seats and patterned silk to the interior of doors.

A clock set into the car's dashboard has been designed to echo the metallic fabrics seen on recent catwalks.
The brand worked with various designers from the world of fashion to create the Dawn range, including former Mulberry employee and leather technologist Michelle Lusby, and textile designer Cherica Haye. Each of the cars can be further customised by the buyer.
