Discover and enjoy the history and character of Toronto, founded as ‘Little Britain’ but now vastly multi-cultural and one of the world?s best cities to live in, through ROMwalks guided walking tours given for over 30 years by volunteers at the Royal Ontario Museum.
ROMwalks encompass the diverse aspects of Toronto’s vibrant neighbourhoods incorporating history, architecture, arts of all varieties, education and more.
The free summer 2016 ROMwalks include: the Annex;  Cabbagetown South;  Whiskey, Wharf and Windmill;  Rosedale;  Grange;  Yorkville;  Queens Park;  St. James Cemetery;  and Arts and Entertainment.  Just show up to join a Sunday afternoon (2pm) or Wednesday evening (6pm) walk….. look for the purple umbrella….. walks go rain or shine! Information about ROMwalks, including walk dates and locations, is available on the ROMwalks website, or download a PDF copy of the ROMwalks brochure.
Also available are ROMwalks Plus paid walks ($10/person) with a limited enrolment and include  Mount Pleasant Cemetery;  Waterfront;  and  Kensington.  You need to register which is arranged by calling 416.586.5797, or online by selecting the ROMwalks Plus walk on the ROMwalks website.
Private Group Walks are perfect for clubs, community groups, or out-of-town visitors. Choose from over 25 ROMwalks and schedule the walk for any day and time.  The cost is $10 per person with a minimum of $100.  Cal...
